Both the whitening treatments contain the active whitening ingredient PAP so it really depends on your personal choice of how to whiten.

Only natural tooth enamel can be whitened with any teeth whitening products. Existing veneers or crowns are usually colour-matched to your existing teeth and are made of porcelain, therefore, can’t be whitened with teeth whitening products.

PAP is the active whitening ingredient found in our Teeth Whitening Strips and Whitening Gel, also known as phthalimido-peroxy-hexanoic acid, it's a non-toxic, hydrogen peroxide-free whitening agent, proven to whiten teeth. PAP also has anti-plaque and long lasting antibacterial benefits. PAP works by creating a layer over the teeth called PVP which is an ingredient that helps to prevent stains forming on the teeth, breaking down the stains and whitening the teeth gently and effectively.

No, Polished London doesn't use any Peroxide. The reason why we don't is because Peroxide can cause significant damage to the enamel of teeth if used too often or in too-high concentrations. The side effects of using hydrogen peroxide for whitening include inflammation of the gums long lasting tooth sensitivity and enamel thinning.

YES! All of the Polished London products contain fluoride including our mouthwashes, toothpastes, toothpaste tablets and Rejuvenating Toothe Serum.

Using any teeth Whitening Kit with fixed braces can result in uneven whitening, so we recommend waiting until the braces are removed before using it. If you wear a retainer you may be able to use the Whitening Kit, but we recommend speaking with your dentist first. Whilst you might not be able to use the Polished London Whitening Kit or Strips if you have fixed braces, you could still benefit from using our Whitening Powder, Toothpaste and Mouthwash products.
